Terms & Conditions

  • In these terms and conditions, “we” or “us” means Woods of Brighton, and “you” means the company or other legal entity to whom the letter or quotation incorporating these terms and conditions is addressed. All work done by us will be subject to these terms and conditions. All other terms and conditions, including any terms and conditions set out in or referred to in any order or other document provided by you are specifically excluded. These terms and conditions may not be varied unless agreed in writing by you and us.
  • You will provide to us free of charge with a supply of 240 volt power adjacent to the work area.
  • All areas at which the work is to be provided must be cleared of all moveable items and equipment before our arrival on site
  • Although care will be taken, we cannot be held liable for damage to carpets, built in furniture, decorations and paintwork/ surface finishes. Any specific concerns should be highlighted so that additional protection can be made or the items should be removed prior to our arrival on site.
  • Photographs of the project before, during and after the work being carried out may be taken and used on social media sites. No reference will be made to you or your personal details.
  • You are responsible for isolating any electrical or plumbing fittings in the area being removed prior to our arrival on site, unless detailed in the initial quote from us.
  • Any work not specifically mentioned under our scope of works has not been allowed for in our price.
  • Whereas we will use all reasonable endeavours to commence the work on the start day and to complete it within the duration notified by you, we will have no liability to you if for whatever reason we do not commence the work on the start date or complete it within the proposed duration.
  •  Our price and duration of works is also based on information provided by you, and we have the right to amend both price and or duration if any of this information is inaccurate or incorrect. If you would like to change what is to be supplied, we would request that you confirm this in writing or other durable form (e.g. email). This will ensure that both parties have a record of what was agreed. Changes to the contract may also mean changes to the price and the new price will be reflected in the final project cost.
  • Our price is valid for 1 month from date of quotation (except that we may increase the price in the event of any price increase in materials and waste disposal by our suppliers).
  • Full payment is required within 7 days on satisfactory completion of the project. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied, you are entitled to withhold an amount to cover any corrective work that may be required. We should be given the opportunity to complete any corrective work in the first instance. Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer.
  • We will exercise our statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation if we are not paid according to agreed credit terms.
  • Depending on the circumstances, and where and how your contract was agreed you may have a 14 day right to cancel it. If you wish to cancel this contract outside of the 14 days cancellation period we reserve the right to deduct/claim the direct costs we have incurred.
  • Our liability for negligence and or breach of contract relating to the work will (other than in the event of personal injury or death liability for which it is not possible to limit by law) be limited in total to any payment by our insurers in respect of the negligence / breach or, to the extent that there is no such payment or any such payment is less than the amount of the loss, to the price for the work.
  • We will in no event have any liability for any indirect, consequential or pure loss (including any loss of profits.
  • Woods of Brighton is committed to providing the highest levels of care to all our customers. If you are in any way dissatisfied with our Service then please let us know as soon as possible. This will help us to continually improve our service to you. When contacting us, please detail the nature of your complaint, your contact details and indicate your preferred method of communication, e.g. telephone, email. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within three working days.
  • On you and we agreeing that we are to proceed to carry out the works in accordance with these terms and conditions we will assume that you have read and understood them. If you do not understand any of these terms and conditions please contact us and we will do our best to deal with any queries you may have.
